Kate Bolton, the visionary behind Silver Julep, knows great drinks.

With multiple awards and twenty years of hospitality experience, Kate’s earned her spot as one of the best bartenders on the West Coast. She’s a partner in San Francisco’s Maven, and created the bar program for Portland’s Yonder.

Kate’s cocktails blend seasonality, culinary touches, an encyclopedic knowledge of flavor profiles, and a certain West Coast sensibility for something sophisticated, playful, and truly unique.

Silver Julep started as a way to take a craft cocktail bar on the road for weddings, festivals, and corporate events.

With the onset of the pandemic, Silver Julep quickly pivoted from operating as a mobile bar to creating bottled cocktail mixers for pickup and delivery.

“May our spirits be stirred or shaken but never broken!” says Kate. It’s become a motto for the mixers and her mantra for the times.

The beautiful Airstream bar doubled as a curbside storefront and pickup window in Sellwood, Kate’s home neighborhood in SE Portland.

“Cocktail mixers are a new way to connect and share special moments right now from the safety of home,” she says, “and with or without alcohol. I love being a part of that.”

In the fall of 2021, Kate decided to close the mobile bar and take a hiatus to focus on family, and a new business venture.
